MISSION - CANTEEN OPERATIONS - 5-11 CLUB RIGS - DIRECTORS & OFFICERS - ABOUT THE 5-11 CLUB WEBSITE

In order to achieve its goals and at the same time satisfy the needs and objectives of its members, the 5-11 Club has adopted multiple classes of membership that enable members to choose the nature and extent of their participation in, and support of, the Club's activities.

As discussed below, the three basic classes of Club membership are Regular Membership, Associate Membership, and Canteen Benefactor Membership.

If you would like to complete an application to the 5-11 Club, you can either request an application via e-mail or download a membership application from this website. In either case, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view an electronic form of the application.

Regular Membership

Regular Members provide financial support for, and are eligible to participate in, all of the Club's activities. Regular Members, who must reside in the Chicagoland area, provide staffing for the Support Service Unit and are active in the maintenance and operation of the antique fire apparatus owned by the Club and for which the Club is otherwise responsible.

Regular Members attend Club meetings, which are held monthly at the Chicago Fire Department Training Academy and at various Chicago Fire Department facilities. Regular Members also receive The Marshal Line, the quarterly newsletter of the 5-11 Club. Finally, Regular Members see their membership dues at work when they receive our Annual Report of the Support Service Unit. Regular Members are the only members who are entitled to vote at 5-11 Club meetings. The annual membership dues applicable to Regular Members are $40.

Associate Membership

Associate Members, who are often members of fire departments or fire department support organizations located in other cities, provide financial support for all of the Club's activities. Associate members receive The Marshal Line, the Annual Report of the Support Service Unit, the minutes of Club meetings, and other items periodically distributed by the Club. The annual membership dues applicable to Associate Members are $20.

Canteen Benefactor Membership

Canteen Benefactor Members enjoy many of the benefits of 5-11 Club membership without having to fund Club activities that are unrelated to the operation of the Support Service Unit. Accordingly, a Canteen Benefactor's tax-deductible annual membership dues (net of the actual out-of-pocket expenses incurred by the Club in providing services, such as The Marshal Line, to Canteen Benefactor members) are used exclusively to supply and maintain the 5-11 Club Support Service Unit on which Chicago firefighters have come to rely.

Canteen Benefactor Membership enables a prson to choose the level of support that he or she will provide to the 5-11 Club's Support Service Unit. Thus, there are five levels of Canteen Benefactor Membership: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Corporate. The annual dues applicable to those levels of Canteen Benefactor Membership are $15, $25, $50, $100, and $500, respectively.

All Canteen Benefactor Members, regardless of their level, receive both The Marshal Line and the Annual Report of the Support Service Unit.

In addition, Platinum Canteen Benefactors receive one complimentary ticket, and
